Courses
We offer a wide variety of courses in physics, astrophysics and astronomy.
All courses in physics, astrophysics and astronomy given at the Department of Physics as part of our Bachelor, Master or Engineering programmes, as well as free-standing courses, are presented on these pages.
The majority of the courses given at the Faculty of Science are also given as free-standing courses and are then open for applications in the Swedish university admission system Antagning.se during the national admission periods:
- 15 March – 15 April: for courses given in the following autumn semester
- 15 September – 15 October: for courses given in the following spring semester
Most courses open for late application (on 15 July, for the autumn semester, and on 15 December, for the spring semester).
The academic year is divided into an autumn and a spring semester. One semester of full-time studies corresponds to 30 credits. Each semester is divided into two 15-credit periods. Courses of 7.5 credits are offered during the first and the second part of the semester.
All of our courses, both at the Bachelor's and Master's level, are taught in English.
Read more about degrees and academic credits on the Lund University international website.
